Still, he was absolutely rippin', shreddin' and stylin' in that vid. Liked the backside layback stalls in that left slab.

He was a well known ripper long before he was known for charging big waves. If you're my age you know the mags and videos in the late 80s to mid 90s were crammed with pics and clips from that Santa Cruz crew. Still have my JC Mel Machine.
