stopped by Waynes place on a whim the other day, and it turned out my board was done. decided to hang out while he went thru the hours-long digitizing process, that he does with every board. learned a lot, and took a bunch of pics too. here we go...

board was designed for perfect ( right-breaking ) log waves... ala malibu, doho, ofre, etc

thanks to larry for the sweet fin! 11" bing lightweight template

also got a custom bag from Midnight , super well made and custom fit for less than it would cost to get one from a surf shop. all the people who i dealt with on my project are awesome! wayne oak, larry allison, and only@midnight... thank you!

had a good test drive this evening at a nearby mush reef. surfed completely alone for most of the session, and had an awesome time. knee-shoulder high, tons of waves caught, and logged more tip time in a single session than i ever have. the board just seems to levitate on the nose. the fin works perfectly in it, too. couldnt be more stoked. thanks Wayne!

Great outline. Kind of a size bridging the gap between a log and a glider right?

Maybe I haven't looked at a rocker shot of a longboard in awhile but that looks like a ton of tail kick.

I need to ride my longboard more.

i like my big boards to have some length + glide. if i were to get a glider it would have to be bigger than 11' at least

speaking of which, i saw a guy walking up with an 11' frye

by the way, classic weight foam. will be riding it somewhere in oc tomorrow

Few summers ago we did a "log jam" at San O. Wasn't much but we should try to put something together again.

Sweet board! Thanks for sharing the shots of Wayne's machine/shop. I have a few Oakfoils - Wayne has always been a pleasure to deal with. Thinking of a Twinzer - Blend from him next
