Real clean.

How much does it weigh?

Thanks GW!

It weighs more than I'd want for an everyday board, but good enough for a "built like a brick shithouse" travel board. Right at nine pounds, of which I'd say about 1.5 is the "system". I also beefed up the whole construction to make it (fingers crossed) baggage-monkey proof, so that added some weight as well.

I'd say nine pounds for a "brick shithouse" board that folds up and checks through at n/c is a solid trade-off. The Frequent Flyer Fish.

I'm thinking the next step may be to create a kit that I can sell to shapers... boxes, tubes, jigs, etc... I still need to test the system on a standard poly board, my current confidence in it is due to the skin strength of the compsand. If I like the way it works on a poly, the kit might definitely be a possibility.

that is SICK. I love seeing innovation. I mean, bisects have been around but the system is really cool

Beautiful work!!! Suggestion; if you want to seal up the lock-downs on the bottom, use the cheap, clear packing tape. If you are really anal, you can fine sand the edge of the tape to blend to the deck. The tape is light, cheap, flexible and easily removed with no sticky residue. I use it all the time to seal up fin boxes when not in use.
