I would say the RNF in regards to range. It is a little fishy but probably can go more lower end than the RNF.

Absolutely.

Don't have one on order now, but I doubt it as Sean gets them glassed at several shops,
all of which have done great work on those I've gotten (many).

Anyone try a mid-length Shadow as an Egg alternative? Would love to hear feedback.

I have a 6'8", 22 wide, 2-7/8" thick EPS Shadow. I've had too many boards to count and I find myself riding this board the most. Granted, I don't fit the demographic of this audience, but I think that I still surf at a high level (depending on the day) and this board is a perfect fit for me. So light that I can whip it around in all directions and of course, due to the thickness and flat rocker, it paddles almost like a longboard. I had a smaller Shadow, but I found that it overlapped with my 5'10" Manta (which I still surf occasionally). Hope that helps answer your question.

I have no doubt I'd love an egg-dimensioned Shadow more than most other egg shapes
and I've thought before it could be an insanely fun board for a wide variety of breaks.
I'd love to try one out first to confirm. Guy that surfs well locally rides a 6'4" very
well in many conditions. Dume, good to hear a bigger size is money for you!

I'm older and slower now, and ride longer boards than most on this forum topic. I upsized my Shadow from 6'6" to 7'0". It works for me in Newport beach breaks. I can take off earlier, reset my feet if necessary, and still have a reasonably maneuverable board.

I'm 31, got a 6'0 Pyzalien that's basically my daily driver.

How would this board, mid or original, fit into my quiver? Looks like a super fun board you catch everything with and just fly down the line.

Pulled the shadow out yesterday in shoulder to HH ultra clean but slightly soft waves. The built in speed and its ability to get on the rail and carry the speed through the turn are unmatched in any of my other boards, including the grovelers.
Such a fun board in just about any conditions but particularly when its lacking a bit of push.
