Just picked it up this morning after my surf session.

6'0" X 22" x 3" - Short and Stout.

Scaled down version of my 7'2" Dyna-Glyde. This one is EPS/epoxy so it's super-light. 5 fin boxes for versatility. 6 subtle channels for added squirt around turns.

After seeing the deck of theROOSTER's Dyna-Glyde glowing up all of the custom boards that were on Wayne's rack at his factory, I knew I had to have this color for my next EPS board. This color is the brightest green I've ever seen. I have lots of fluorescent green boards, but this one is blinding bright. If you spot me in the lineup, stop and say "hi".

Floaty boards are bad, why?

Performance shortboard rocker with a flat deck

VII FEN 550 - Twin fin setup

RFC Canard Quad

VFT1 512 with Trailer - Twin fin with trailer setup

VF437 with 425 Hatchet

Stretch RTM Quad

Much Aloha to Wayne Okamoto (Oak Foils) for creating me some of the best shapes I've ever ridden!

Stubster,

Nice board! Love the bright green color. Makes me wish I went with color on my Stubby DG. Report back with an update after you get a few sessions in.

a STUBBY for STUBSTER!!!

you can thank the M$ Xbox 360 for the color, that's whereI drew my "inspiration" from, ha ha

LOVE all the fin combos(As with mine)..... let me know how that tail pad works out - I've been considering setting up one for my DG, after numerous efforts to REALLY plant my back foot. I saw a cut-down one recently that I may try to emulate, nixing most of the pad itself in lieu of the "nub" at the back....

SERIOUS STOKE man, really sweet!!

+2 Wayne is amazing -- I've seen that shape scaled and work well at 9' and now 6'. There's so much going on there that isn't easily apparent -- rocker tweaks, fin configs, balance of volume between the nose, mid and tail. Really nice work.

Stoked for you!

Great board- Just did the same idea with my mini egg(5 boxes)One board and a bag of fins to play with at the beach. The twin set up with no trailer is best so far for me.Stellar color spray and design

I was going to say that the template reminds me of an Ambrose Sputnik (albeit rounder/wider nose), but the thickness and rocker are as different from that as can be.

If you like the twin, one other fin combo to consider is the smaller twin fin w/long board sidebites (SB1) in a quad setup.

So why a 6' stubby? What will it offer you over the 7'2" ? I'm curious as I have a shot at getting Wayne to make me one, but now I've seen too many verions posted!

I'm trying to get my head round the choices behind the different variants of this quiver killer! Does the 7'2" kill more than the 6' or does the 6' offer something you're not getting with the 7'2" ????

I thought it was a simple choice when ordering up a DG....

But really effing beautiful work.

Stubster, Love the Pickleman, your DG actual thickness is 3.35. One of the reasons why most all Dyna-Glydes are made with EPS/Epoxy is the freedom in design I can achieve with using a solid piece of EPS foam. I have been working with Daron Story from White Hot Foam who has been hot wiring custom top and bottom rockers to custom specs for me. At this time the Dyna-Glyde proportions are extremely unique ie, there are no poly blanks available short of using longboard blanks and dealing with enormous waste. One of the problems I am having are that designs are changing and evolving at a rapid rate for me at this time most poly blank pugs are becoming obsolete.

The impetus behind the Dyna-Glyde has been about maximum lift and buoyancy with out loosing performance in all around general everyday surf we have in most areas. This allows the rider to utilize much fuller contours with out adding weight. In essence the board rides much smaller than the dimensions suggest. With the unique bottom contours combined with the marriage if a progressive bottom rocker along with a completely opposing type of deck rocker makes the Dyna-Glyde a completely different shape in terms of genre. Along with the convertible 5-fin set up allows one to an added dimensional quality for differing conditions.

At the moment I am now working on a new series of Bryd-Fishes utilizing the Dyna-Glyde rockers and volume formulas.

I also have in the works some new Longboards that will be unique in genre, (not trad or modern.)

Keep an eye out
